This Weekend @ Revolution: Never Satisfied

Have you ever noticed that some people live life to the fullest and others just walk through life aimlessly with no purpose and hope? As we go through our days and sit in our classes, read books in hopes of having a career, changing diapers, going to work and sitting at a desk in a job we don’t like we ask a simple question that is at the core of being human, Is this all there is?

As we have gone through the book of Philippians this fall at Revolution, we have looked at the theme of pursuing joy and how we experience all that God wants us to experience. We have looked at who Jesus is, unity, pain and suffering and community and loneliness. At the heart of this idea of joy sits our lives, how we live our lives and most importantly, what we give our lives to.

The reality is that all of us get one life, we don’t come back again and get a second shot at it. With that in mind, we have to ask, what do I give my life to? How do I maximize the time that I have? How do I live every single day to its fullest? How can I be fully present in every moment of everyday, giving all that I have so that when I get to the end of my life I can say, “I have nothing left.”

That’s what we will be diving into this Saturday.

Not only that, we are also celebrating baptism this coming Saturday night. This is a great opportunity to hear the stories of changed lives in our church and what God has done in people’s lives and to celebrate as they go public with their faith.

You don’t want to miss Saturday night!

So, do whatever you have to do to get to Revolution this Saturday night (and bring someone with you who doesn’t know Jesus, let’s run out of seats this week)! And come expecting to see God move and do something huge in our lives.

Remember, we meet at 5pm at 6620 E 22nd St.

See you Saturday.
